One step at a time.

How you wanna rush, you want it now. You barely can wait. It's taking too long you say. I see you. I get you. You just wanna run to that dream life, ooowh! The plans you have for your future, I hear you.

Been replaying the old "One step at a time" by Jordin Sparks over and over and over. I wanted something to remind me of patience and that was one great song.
As I was watching the video and the pace at which people walked, I had a strong impression on my mind. I wonder if we always rush or walk in a normal pace in life?

Do you know the feeling of walking in a reasonable pace and then just enjoying the walk without the feeling of having to rush? When you walk down the street and just observe all that is happening around you and take it all in with appreciation.  Just looking at the plants, or the children playing or the women working and the men taking a bit of rest. People passing by, smiling or not. Or just taking a walk by the beach, unhurried and enjoying the breeze, the feeling of contentment.

In life, the picture and the feeling can actually be the same. Rushing through life to a future you have not, makes us miss all the good in the present. We rush to what we think we can get, running and rushing all the time. Taking one step at a time patiently will give us more contentment than rushing.

"We live and we learn, to take one step at a time. Everything will happen when it is supposed to happen. Like falling in love". I love this words. They ring a bell of truth, we can't really rush life and taking one step at a time will help us enjoy the or. The gifts and the laughter of today. And if they seem not to happen the only way forward is still one step at a time.

So when you know it will happen anyway, why rush the process!
